Gordon Castle Walled Garden

Gordon Castle Walled Garden in Fochabers is one of our favourite places to visit. The planting combinations they put together always look beautiful with a good mix of textures, shapes and colours. We always come away from the gardens with lots of planting inspiration. Keep reading to see our favourite plants from our visit a few weeks ago.

The contrast of textures and shapes of the plants within this border is striking. 

Dahlia 'Totally Tangerine' 

The purple of this Dianthus is gorgeous, especially when paired together with the pink. 

Cynara scolymus (Globe Artichoke) make stunning ornamental plants. They add structure and texture to gardens, even in the the autumn months when most of the colour has passed. 

Beautiful shades of pinks, purples and whites in this border. 

Gorgeous golden yellow colour from the Rudbeckia.
